K! so i like to do fun nice things for my husband for his birthdays! last year i threw him a surprise party for his friends from law school! anyways, it was fun! even though my THIRD child had JUST been born 2 weeks before, and i was STILL adjusting! i still had my house perfect. and made tons of cakes, and food, and threw a big bash! sorry i most likely didn't post it, since i had JUST had kapri! anyways, so, this year i wanted friends to come over for cake... but, kirk was like, lets keep it low key! SO, i said, YEAH you are right. just the family! so, i cleaned because i knew it would make him soo happy to come home to spotless house (when ever is it not!>? ha) and, then i made him this better than sex cake for work. and was going to make another cake for him. but, he didn't go to his "work" so, i kept it(bad idea! it was soo good)!
anyways, SO, he came home, i had gotten him some shirts and socks (totally boring. but he needed them bad!) and, then we sang to him, i made the girls dinner. and i was like, isn't this fun? just the family?
and the doorbell rang, and it was our babysitter. I had my babysitter come, and watch the girls, and i went up and picked up our friends billy and becky, and we went out to kirk's choice of restaurant.. In the Raw (sushi) ahh i have never tried that before! it was fine i LOVED my vegetable tempura (diet of course haha)
and, then we were going to go laser tagging. BUT it was closed by the time we finished our dinner.
THE BIG lovely thing was, WAS just us ADULTS for the evening. it wasn't soo huge or anything BUT it was FUN to have a nice time out! Happy 31st bday honey! you are super old, even though you look 12! xoxo

A. your girls are BEAUTIFUL ALWAYS!!! it's just ridiculous what beautiful kids you and kirk make! ;) and p.s. one time i threw sean a suprise bday for his 25th bday, and he was so funny, he's so shy (as you prolly know) and he literally hid behind me for like 5 minutes after everyone yelled suprise cuz he didn't want the attention on him. it was so funny.
anyway, kirk DOES still look like he's 12, but it's grand. love you much, and i will have to make that better than sex cake. i had one once that was with yellow cake and pineapple stuff, it was amazing, i wish i could get THAT recipe too.

I always end up eating all the dessert too, and I don't know why it makes me mad. I guess because I feel like I'm being bad and he's not. I need to get over that and just be happy I don't have to share!!
