Kayla turned FIVE on friday! and, it was a great, but busy week/day! anyways. Kayla and Kynda wanted a High School musical party. As you can tell by these cute dress ups from the Castillo's. Sharpay (kayla) and Gabriella (kynda!) love LOVE LOVE high school musical!
I made this musical note! it is LARGER than it looks! i made two rounds and two 9x13 HOMEMADE yellow cakes! (NOTE.... homemade is more dense then box. and i think i will be stickin with box from NOW on, unless ANYONE has a REALLY MOIST FLUFFY homemade yellow cake!) I also made a LOT OF cupcakes.
I knew that i HAD to make my famous cream cheese frosting... and, so i made ANOTHER two rounds and put my cream cheese frosting (WHICH IS OUT OF THIS WORLD) on that one...we decorated it more plain.
Kayla had a party at her school. i brought donuts (her choice) and then made individual goodie bags for everyone in her class. that had notebook, kaledoscope, and crayons attached. SO cute! so fun!
here is kayla and her "POSSE" Kinsley (darling girl), Ryan (kayla's love) and Joshua (kinsley's love)!
hilarious!
KAYLA enjoying her day!!!! HORRAY for her day! (this is kayla's and Kynda's bedroom. i haven't gotten to filling up the frames with pictures yet. We are going to disneyland and disney cruise in two weeks,. SO, i have been waiting for some cute photos from that..to hang up in their PRINCESS ROOM! So, NO! that family on the wall is NOT my family! haha)

Happy Birthday Kayla. It's so crazy that she is 5. I remember coming to your house and seeing her for the first time. Who knew you'd turn out to be so domestic? All your pictures are of you making something. Freak girl, I swear that I never make anything. Is it the OK influence? Oh the girlies are cute as always. When you sent me those pics, I was totally like who is in those freaking frames. Funny. I miss you, we haven't talked in such a long time.
YOU are the Oklahoma version of Martha Stewart.
Happy Birthday Kayla!! WOW!!! You really go all out don't you! I am amazed at your fabulous cake making skills! And the girl's room is absolutely adorable!
Happy Bday to Kayla! I cannot believe she is FIVE! Love the party ideas...it looks like SO much fun!!

The room is adorable- Kynda and Kayla look adorable as Sharpay and Gabriel- too cute! And cute she is into boys- Devri will not admit to me that any boy is even her friend.
Of course your cakes adorable too
Oh and forgot to say - duh!
Happy Birthday to Kayla- hope she had a great birthday!
YAY! Happy Birthday Kayla and Kynda! I am so glad they had a fun day!
LOVE the pictures from the lil party at school! SO PRECIOUS!
Wow Heather, you are really my creative inspiration. I am definately very left brained. Or right brained... whichever one DOESN'T have creativity. ??? I do math and science problems, so Aaron will be the one putting together birthdy parties someday!!! haha. Sucks for my kids. You need to make a book (or just a separate blog) with all your fun creative ideas! And Happy Birthday Kayla! Man time goes by so fast!
SO cute!! Girl~ you are AMAZING with your cakes!! Wow! Kayla & Kynda look adorable all dressed up! Happy Birthday to both of them!

You are a good mom, baking and throwing her a party. I love the wigs in the first picture--- Kira thought it was Kynda's real hair. She's all "Kynda's hair has thickened out"
